Fadhail A'maal - Fadhail Hajj

This book has undoubtedly motivated thousands of people to perform Hajj and give alms to charity. The author is a Muhaddith, a plus point for readers. The writer has devoted forty years lecturing, researching and writing on Hadith. The famous Arabic volumes, Aujaz al-Masaalik, written by the Sheikh on the commentary of Muattaa bear testimony to his expertise in the field. Thus, this fact silences critics who may point out to the usage of some weak Ahaadith, though, such usage is allowed in the Fadhail section in his work.

The book also serves a good guide for exploring the Hereafter. It mentions the verses pertaining the Hereafter. It mentions stories of the pious people. It melts hearts, a recipe to get closer to Allah.

I would give it a five-star rating and recommend its reading.

Some people claim that Sheikh Zakariyya wasn't an expert in the field of Al-Jarh wat-Ta'deel, therefore whenever you come across a hadith like "My Sahaabah are like guiding stars...." whilst reading aloud in the Halaqah of Ta'leem, then you should skip it rather than reading it out loud and claiming it to be a Hadith; what do you have to say about this sheikh?
