Have any of the shuyookh come across any academic works regarding criticisms of Shah Walilullah Dehlawi?

Criticism, as in against right?

If you mean a thorough critique of Shah sb, I'm not aware of any such work. 'Allamah Zahid al-Kawthari and Sheikh Abdur Rashid No'mani have criticised him for certain isolated views.

Their criticism doesn't hold much weight, especially Allama Kawthari's [ra] . I've been made aware that a fuller critique of Allamah Kawthari's [ra] criticism has recently been done by Musa Ferber.

I think the fundamental issue between ‘Allamah al-Kawthari [ra] and Shah Sb. [ra] is that of methodology and approach to fiqh.


Allamah Zahid [ra] has criticised him from his Fiqh Hanafi bias.

I hope this helps.

Just to add that some student's of Allamah Kashmiri felt that he wasn't too fond of Shah Sb. I haven't discovered any evidence for this.
