How to calculate Mahr e Fatimi

Price of 999 AG Silver per gram = £0.84p

There are two opinions regarding the value of Mahr e Fatimi. Any one of the two opinions may be adopted as both are given by Mufti Muhammad Shafi Saheb.

1st opinion
To change Tolas to grams
150 (Tolas [of silver]) x 11.664 = 1749.9
1749.9 x 0.84p = 1469.91

Mahr e Fatimi = £1469.91p

2nd opinion
To change Tolas to grams
131.25 (Tolas [of silver]) x 11.664 = 1530.9
1530.9 x 0.84p = 1285.95

Mahr e Fatimi = £1285.95p
